Macrodyne to Showcase Defense Manufacturing Systems at MSPO 2026
Macrodyne and DUNKES will exhibit at MSPO 2026, the 34th International Defense Industry Exhibition, taking place September 8–11 at Targi Kielce in Kielce, Poland.
As Canada serves as the Lead Nation for this year’s exhibition, Macrodyne will join Canadian defense manufacturers and technology providers in the Canada Pavilion. Visitors can meet the Macrodyne team at Booth 7-D28 to discuss press systems, automation and complete production solutions for defense manufacturing.
MSPO is the largest defense trade fair in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together military leaders, government representatives, procurement organizations and manufacturers from across NATO and allied nations.
Manufacturing Capacity Has Become a Defense Priority
Defense manufacturers are being asked to increase production while maintaining the process control, traceability and repeatability required for mission-critical components.
Adding an individual machine is rarely enough. Production capacity depends on how effectively forming equipment, heating systems, material handling, inspection, controls and downstream processes operate together.
Macrodyne designs and builds custom hydraulic and servo-hydraulic presses, automation and complete manufacturing systems for demanding defense applications. By coordinating the press, controls, automation and supporting equipment under one supplier, Macrodyne helps manufacturers reduce integration risk and move more reliably from equipment installation to production.
Defense Manufacturing Capabilities
Macrodyne supports defense manufacturers across a broad range of applications, including:
- Large-caliber artillery projectile manufacturing
- Forging, drawing, nosing and sizing of ammunition components
- Drive band crimping
- Propellant blocking and extrusion systems
- Gun barrel and launcher tube straightening
- Aerospace and military aircraft structures
- Drone and UAV component manufacturing
- Armor and ballistic composite forming
- Ship and submarine component manufacturing
- Demilitarization and specialized defense applications
Systems can incorporate robotic handling, in-press and press-to-press transfer, induction or furnace heating, die handling, dimensional inspection, process monitoring and production data collection.
For ammunition producers in particular, Macrodyne can support individual forming operations or complete automated lines engineered around the required component, production rate and manufacturing sequence.

Precision Straightening for Large Defense Components
Through DUNKES, also provides advanced straightening systems for gun barrels, launcher tubes, shafts and other large precision components.
These systems can combine tactile measurement, laser scanning and automated correction strategies to evaluate component geometry, determine where corrective force should be applied and verify the result after each straightening cycle.
The objective is not simply to apply force. It is to create a controlled and repeatable process that reduces dependence on manual judgment while maintaining the dimensional requirements of the finished component.
